Doroteo, aka Teo, is 21 years old and was born with Cerebral Palsy and a hypoxic brain injury. Teo’s condition affects his ability to regulate his emotions. For most of his life, Teo has lived in residential schools and colleges. During this time, Teo experienced many challenges as a result of his emotional dysregulation and found it difficult to be away from his family.
In July 2025, Teo finished his education and left the residential school to embark on life as an adult! Scary! At this time, Tao Complex Care was chosen as Teo’s new support provider. Both Teo and the team at Tao Complex Care find it really funny that our names are similar! But really, we think it is a sign that ‘it was meant to be’!
Today, with our support, Teo is living ‘life without limits’ – something we are very passionate about at Tao! We have a regular staff team who know Teo very well and have provided tailored support to help him life his best life!

As for Teo, he has lots of big plans in the pipeline – he’s a very busy young man! A little bird tells us that Teo and Lesley, Head of Care at Tao Complex Care, are going to be skydiving out of a plane in the Summer! Can you believe it?!
